Hey girls
I’m back with another post 🙂 Sorry I was a bit away these last few days. I did not have any internet connection. I have been trying out the new Chambor Extreme wear lipstick since the last few days and I think I have now properly made up my mind about it. I took a little time trying out the best ways to use it and I think I know what works best for me. Read on to know more 🙂

The colour I got is 462. It is a beautiful rust orange/coral lipstick which I didnt have before and I think the shade is so stunning for Indian skintones and also for the summer time. It is such a beautiful colour. It’s not over the top bright or too light and I think everyone will be able to pull this shade off. It’s kind of like a matte version of my Lotus lipstick in Peach Creme which I have loved since so long (Review here). I just love this colour.
To be honest, I had some issues with this lipstick in the beginning and I almost regretted spending my money on this but I tried it different ways and I think I know now what should be and should not be done with this. The first time I used it, I put on one layer and thought I was good to go. After a while I could see some spots where it was looking a teeny tiny but patchy. Hence in about 40 minutes I reapplied it and boy did it flake! It came off in such a bad way and I had one meal and it just became worse. Then I had to remove as much as I could with water as I did not have a remover with me and had to reapply it. After reapplying, it was okay but I wasnt fully satisfied with the texture.
The thing with this lipstick is that you need to put on in thin layers and that too before the first layer dries. The texture is cream and not liquid. In one coat, it covers the lips but the coverage is not too good. On order to get the complete opaque colour you need to put on atleast two layer back to back. Dont let the first one dry else it will flake.
The staying power is great. If you eat oily foods, it will fade faster. I am wearing this since 3 PM and it’s currently 10:10 PM and it has faded from the inner part after eating and drinking but is still strong on the outer side. It is definitely transfer proof and does not leave marks on any cups or spoons. That is such a great thing in every lipstick.
When you first put it on, it does feel a little drying so it is better to put on lip balm before you apply it. The applicator is very nice and it is really easy to cover all of your lips with both sides of it. It does not bleed out into the lip lines. The fragrance is sooo nice and vanilla sorts. I wish it lingered on longer but it goes away after sometime. I wish it didnt cost as much though!
Overall, I think this is a great long wear lipstick once you get the hand of applying it. I am more of a fan of liquid ones but it is nice to own this one and test it out too 🙂
PROS:
1. Long wearing
2. Does not bleed
3. Smells amazing
4. Easily available
5. Good selection of colours
6. Transfer proof
CONS:
1. Can flake and come off in patches if you put on too much
2. Expensive
3. Limited Edition
My rating – 4/5
See you all soon 🙂
