Hey Girls
I think you must have noticed already that I am kind of getting obsessed with Colourpop products. The quality that they offer at such a low price is literally unbeatable. I was in the search of a Matte red lipstick since sometime now and I did not want to spend so much on a MAC lipstick as I may not have worn it too often. So I did some researching and found the perfect one in Colourpop. Read on to know more 🙂
Price – $5 for 1 gm
Availability – www.colourpop.com
It comes in the same pencil like packaging. I only have the lippie stix and not the matching liner as I have a liner that I like for the purpose (it’s from Essence, review coming soon). The bullet is slim and gives a nice precise line. I love how easy to carry around their packaging actually is.
The fragrance of the lippie stix is a nice Vanilla one, almost similar to MAC maybe a little bit yummier hehe. The texture is soo nice. Colourpop has literally nailed the Matte formula of their lippie stix. They dont dry out the lips at all. They glide on so easily and go opaque in a single coat. The pigmentation is amazing. The colour is a matte Tomato red. It is one of those that instantly brightens the face. You dont feel like you have anything on, on the lips at all.
The staying power is really awesome. I have worn it for about 8 hours at a stretch and the colour still looks so fresh. It does transfer to cups unlike the Ultra Matte ones but I dont mind that as I am extremely happy with the product.
You can view my previous reviews on Colourpop lippie stix in Brink and Lumiere here and here.
PROS:
1. Great pigmentation
2. Good staying power
3. Non drying
4. Easy to apply
5. Glides on smooth
6. Affordable
7. Does not settle into lip lines
CONS:
1. Availability in India
I absolutely adore this product and I highly recommend Colourpop as a brand to you all.
My rating – 5/5

Great review, you have picked up a nice shade!!. But a bit costly I guess, but keeping in mind the fact that it stays for 8 hours at a stretch its worth every penny.

Thank you Sonali 🙂 It’s not really that expensive considering how much Indian brands are going up with their prices 🙁
