Colourpop Lippe Stix in Lumiere review+FOTD!

Hey Girls

So I am back with another Lippe Stix review by Colourpop. Colourpop is an affordable American brand that makes such lovely products in all kinds of colours and textures. You can see my previous review on the Brink Lippie Stix and Liner here. This colour that I am reviewing today was created by Youtuber Kathleen Lights in collaboration with Colourpop. She wanted to create a colour that went well with all the skintones and everyone could pull it off easily. I think this colour does full justice to that vision of hers. Read on to know more about it.

Price – $5 for 1 gm

I think the price for the quantity is pretty much okay as when you are a makeup hoarder, you dont tend to finish all your lipsticks but you definitely want to try more colours. Having lesser quantity for a lesser price is a perfect way to do this. The lippie stix comes in a twist up packaging with the head exactly the same as the colour of the lipstick. I can imagine how hard it must have been to match it completely with the colour of the lipstick. The name colourpop is written in holographic bright silver outside the package, you can see most of mine has already come off 🙁

The lipstick is in matte finish. It’s one of the few matte finish lipsticks that I have. I have to admit, it is soooo comfortable on the lips. It does not dry out your lips at all. It does get into the lip lines but I do not mind that since everything gets into my lip lines, ugh! The lipstick smells sooooo good. It’s like a nice chocolatey flavour which makes me almost want to eat it. I never lick my lips when I have lipstick on so I cannot comment on how it tastes hehe.

The colour is a beautiful Dusty mavuve. It’s the kind that goes well with every skintone and does not wash them out. This comes with a matching liner as well but I did not buy it as I think my Mac lip liner in Soar matches this pretty well too (You can read its review here). So I did not see much point in getting another lip liner. But if lip liners are your thing you should definitely get one with it. The lipstick goes on completely opaque in one swipe and does not drag on the lips inspite of being a Matte shade.

The lasting power is pretty good as well. It stays on for about 4-5 hours with light snacks in between. The colour transfers to cups etc big time. So make sure you blot your lips properly if that is a problem for you. I think this lipstick is a very good dupe for MAC Satin and Matte finish lipsticks. You should surely give it a try.

I am a big fan of this lipcolour of mine and I would recommend it to anyone who can get access to it. Colourpop has become one of my favourite brands. Such amazing quality and affordable prices cannot be beaten. I just hope they start shipping to India at affordable rates soon.
