Okay let’s start with the price point. Everything at Colourpop is so affordable. The packaging is so nice, sleek and girly. They have a wide range of blushes, lipsticks, lip liners, eyeshadows and highlighters. I am already planning my second haul YAY! The lippie stix are 1gm of product in a sleek long bullet, to be honest I think 1gm is enough product for a person to use and finish. Afterall how many of us acctually finish up all of our makeup! The lip liner comes in a matching shade and sadly is not a twist up one which I would have preferred. I just dont want to sharpen it, it’s so pretty. I love the fact that the front part of the lipstick bullet actually matches the colour of the lippie stix.

Let’s come to the colour, the colour is your typical Neutral everyday beige colour. It will not suit very dark Indian skintones as it may wash you out. The lip liner is darker than the lipstick and kind of makes the lipstick work better for my skintone. Using only the lippe stix does look a teeny tiny bit too light. With a darker lip liner you can make it work perfectly. I will let the pictures do the talking for the colour as I dont think I am very good at describing these things.

This one is in a Matte finish. The Matte finish for this is not at all drying, however I do always use a lip balm underneath as you might already know my lips are not the smoothest ever. On people that have really line free smooth lips, this would look so beautiful and would be the perfect everyday colour. I actually used this on my birthday as well, just added a little bit of a lipgloss on top. It goes on so smoothly and smells like Vanilla. Oh how I love how it smells. The lip liner actually goes on a lot smoother than the other lip liners that I have ever tried. It glides on so effortlessly and would look nice without the lipstick as well.

The staying power is amazing. I did touch it up once throughout the day as I am in a habit of doing so but it lasted well over 6 hours with a light meal and drink in between. On the insides it does collect up a bit so you have to smooth it out with your finger.

Overall, I absolutely love these lipsticks. For 5$ you can not go wrong with these. There are just sooo many colours to try. I have to say if you want to choose between the lipstick and the lip liner I would sugges going with the Lip liner as the colour is just so perfect!

Here are pictures of me wearing this on top of the lip liner:

  3. Lovely lip swatch Harman!! I have heard of this brand on many blogs, I wish we had this brand in India as well.. 🙁 . I love how cute the name “Lippie Stix” is 😀 .. I will go with the liner however if given a choice between the two.

    • Thank you so much Vishakha 🙂 I completely agree, liner is the better out of the two. I really hope they start shipping to India soon. Their stuff is so amazing!
