Colourpop Matte X Lippie Stix in Chateau Review!

I’m finally starting the reviews of all the new things I have been using the last couple of months. Colourpop is my new favourite drugstore brand. No kidding, I have not bought a MAC lipstick ever since I found Colourpop. The price is just perfect and it comes in sooo many different textures and finishes. The Matte X range is a new range they came up with a little while ago. These lippies glide on very very smooth and turn to a powdery finish. It does transfer a bit so if you are looking for completely smudge proof lipsticks then you should go for the Ultra Matte range. Read on to know more about this one 🙂

The colour I have is such a beautiful dark vampy lip. I dont use these kind of colours often but I feel so glam when I put them on. My everyday shades are more neutral and light and not something that will get me too much attention. I think fall calls for colours that match the different beautiful leaves – olives, golds, copper, browns. I love it how the beauty world shifts its makeup routine considering the season we are in. Summers are my favourite season but it can get a bit annoying when its too hot and my makeup just melts off.

The matte X range is completely matte and goes on very smooth. It is a bit hard to outline the lips with this so it will be better if you have a matching lip liner. It goes on so opaque and has amazing pigmentation. It does not enhance the lip lines and gives a smooth look. Its also not as drying as the Ultra Matte lips inspite of being matte.

The staying power is pretty impressive. It lasts about 5-6 hours and does fade when you eat or drink as it is not transferproof. The packaging is the same as the other ones with the front part matching the lipstick colour exactly. It seriously wows me seeing the quality colourpop delivers at such a small price and that too without testing on animals.

I think I should have bought more from this range but I keep hoarding so many lipsticks it makes me guilty of not being able to finish them all 😛 I think you guys should give this range a try if you are looking for a more comfortable matte lipstick. Dry lips would surely like this one.
