Hey people
I am finally reviewing my LA Girl Pro Conceal today. I have always seen so many people use this concealer for all kinds of purposes. I was so eager to get my hands on it. It is one that everyone is always raving about and is so affordable for the quantity that you get. I have the colour Medium beige. It is a shade that would go well with Indian skintones and is helpful for concealing dark under eye circles. Read on to know how I got it in India and what my thoughts about it are.
Availability – I got it off www.beautyjoint.com. One of my orders from BeautyJoint never came to me and they did not reimburse it also since I did not choose Shipping Insurance. The second time I just ordered two colours of this concealer and chose shipping insurance as well. I would recommend that you always choose that option and dont order something that is too expensive just so it hurts less incase you dont get it 🙂 It is such a hit and trial with this site really.
Price – Varies from $2.50 to $6 I guess. I paid 700 INR for two concealers with shipping included which is pretty affordable.
The concealer comes in a tube form with a brush attached at the end. It is easy to squeeze out the product when the concealer is new but really becomes a pain after the quantity become less. You have to really press hard to get the concealer oozing out of the brush end. For some reason, my concealer always had a bit of water in it. I have no idea why, maybe it is some defect. If I press too hard there are quite a few drops of water there. How odd! You can see it in the hand swatch too if you look closely.
The colour is a medium one with a hint of pink in it. The best part about this concealer is that it comes in a lot of different colours. You are sure to find one which suits you the best. I would not say this colour is my best match because it is a bit darker than my skintone but it works well to conceal undereye cirles. Since it has a bit of a pink in it, it also neutralizes the blue circles a bit. The thing is, I have to make sure I only go over the dark part with this because if I go around the cheek are, it makes them look a bit dark and peach. This will be perfect for skintones darker than NC 40.
The texture is so nice and blendable. It blends so easily but I do need to set it otherwise it creases. The staying power is pretty amazing too. It lasts all day if set properly. I think fingers or a synthetic brush are the best ways to blend it. That is what has worked out best for me. I set it with Flormar Loose powder (Review is here) with the baking method and it lasts all day on me.
The coverage I would say is Medium to High depending on how much quantity you use. The best part is that is almost never looks cakey on me and is perfect for people with dry under eye area too.
I highly recommend this concealer. For this price, I dont think we have anything better in India. It is so blendable and comes in so many shades that you will surely find your best shade. I would say go lighter than Medium Beige if you are fair to medium skinned otherwise this shade or one shade darker for be perfect for the dark skinned beauties. The main con is the availability. I cannot say that Beautyjoint guarantees delivery so if you are wanting to order make sure your order is as little as possible.
