Lakme lip love in Cherry review!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful week. I have been meaning to do this review since sometime now. It has been a while since these Lip balms from Lakme were launched. I ordered them the day I saw them on Amazon. I got the Vanilla and Cherry variants. I have to say I love these little things. I have already finished up one of my lip balms in the colour Cherry, this is my second tube of it. Read on to know more about it.

I have very pale lips and lip products are my favourite thing to buy. I love having tinted lip balms as they’re such an easy to pull of thing at all times. Even when you want to go makeup free but dont want to look like a zombie, these things come in handy. The colour I got is Cherry as red toned lip colours look the most natural.

The texture of this lip balm is very smooth. It’s a bit different from Maybelline’s Baby lips. That feels a little bit waxy to me. I like the light texture of this one. It has an inner core which is supposed to make lips soft and smooth. My lips always like the feel of this lip balm. I dont have very dry or chapped lips, my main lip concern is Eczema. This lip balm does not make my eczema worse. It’s actually a staple in my purse.

I dont think this would be very effective on severly dry or chapped lips. For that you should probably use something more heavy duty like Nivea or Carmex etc. But if you are in the habit of keeping lips moisturized then this is perfect for you. It gives a light cherry tint to the lips which looks very natural.

The colour lasts around 2 hours or so which is good for a lip balm. After that you have to reapply. It leaves behind a very light pink kind of tint. If used again and again without wiping lips, it ends up looking a little bit patchy. It wont completely cover up pigmented lips as it’s not very high coverage. It’s slightly expensive for a lip balm but I believe it’s worth it.

Overall, I love this lip balm. I love the natural tint it gives to my colourless lips. It’s my go to lip balm if I have to go anywhere. It keeps the lips soft and supple. I’ll keep the review short and simple and end it with saying that you must try this out. I will also go buy the strawberry colour soon.
