Maybelline Colorshow Midnight Pink review

I am writing after so long. I have to admit it feels so good. I was out of the blogging game for a while because I had to focus on my job and get some certifications (I work as a Network Technician). I missed this part of my life a lot and always thought that I am going to pick it up again, once I do I will try to be more dedicated. There is still so much that I have to learn. I am all ready for the journey.

Back to the review. Sometimes some impulse buys end up being our favourite products. When I spotted these lipsticks in store I instantly swatched all of them. Out of habit I looked for lighter everyday colours but they were out of them all so I ended up buying this colour from the berry family. Came home, tried it on and instantly fell in love.

I believe these lipsticks are categorized in Reds, Pinks and Browns. This is the only one that I tried from this range. The colour is kind of a berry pink. I am so bad with describing colours. I will let the pictures do the talking for me.

The texture is very smooth and applies soft. Does not dry out my lips and is comfortable to wear. As you can see in the swatches, it seems to melt a little bit in the hot weather. The texture is similar to Mac’s Amplified finishes. It is a little bit glossy. If you pat it down it will also look good as a matte.

The staying power is really impressive. It easily lasts over 6 hours. Within that time, it may fade a bit from the center of the lips if you eat or drink. The colour leaves behind a berry stain. I personally have no problems with lipsticks that stain. It comes off easily with a makeup remover.

This is the kind of colour which would suit different skintones. May look more pink on some and berry on others. On me it looks like a berry colour.

I’ll keep this review short. Overall I only have good things to say about this colour. The next time you go to store, make sure to check it out. I feel like it’s an under rated colour which deserves a lot more love.
