Hey Girls
I’m back with another lip gloss review 😀 This is the second part of my lip gloss review from Nyx. I reviewed the 2 others in Tiramisu and Maple Blondie here. I absolutely Adore these lip glosses. I am actually going to copy my thoughts on these from my other review as they are also exactly same in pigmentation and texture.
Price – $5, not sure how much they cost in India
Let’s start off with the colour selection first. They have a very nice colour range with different shades and you are sure to find one for your skintone. The ones I am reviewing today are a light coral and a light neutral colour. In the US you can always buy them on offers and they’re easily available everywhere.
The lip glosses smell amazing. They are a bit similar to Mac lipsticks only a bit nicer They smell like Vanilla chocolate, not sure if someone does not like that fragrance, I personally love it. They come in a clear glass tubes with matching caps so it becomes pretty easy to recognize the colours.
The pigmentation is soo good. It’s more like a liquid lipstick. On one swipe they give a nice colour payoff. Because the colours I am reviewing today are a bit light and my lips are completely unpigmented they kind of look similar but believe me they are different colours. I love using these on top of a lip liner.
The lasting power is average like any other lip gloss. Dont expect these to last you over 2-3 hours. I dont mind it because retouching is never a problem for me. They are completely non sticky and feel sooo light on the lips. It does actually feel like butter if that makes any sense haha.
Coming to the colours – Creme Brule is a lighter version of the Tiramisu one. I use the Tiramisu more than this one. This I mainly use when I have a smokey eye makeup on. It will be a perfect everyday colour for lighter skintoned people but I would not recommend this if you are darker than NC 40 in Mac.
The one in Apple Strudel is different from Maple Blondie in a way that Apple Strudel is more Coral compared to Maple Blondie. Maple Blondie has some pink undertones to it. On the lips they are pretty much similar. You dont need both certainly. This is a colour that I think would suit light to medium skintones.
I absolutely adore these glosses. They feel so amazing. Next I will get the Matte lipsticks from Nyx. Love this brand. You should surely try them out.
Here are the pictures of all four of them together. You can compare the colours 🙂
