Hey girls
This is one post that should have been up so long ago but somehow I kept on stalling it >.< I want to do some more looks on the blog for you all but I have a bad Eczema rash and wont use any face or eye products for a while. Hopefully it will be gone soon so I can do a few more looks. I really have sooo much fun doing those. Today I will review the neutral Kohl Kajal I used in these posts here and here. This is one product that instantly brightens up the eye and makes it look a lot fresher. Read on to know more 🙂
Price – About $5
I am not entirely sure if this is available in India but I am sure you can get many other alternatives to this. I generally dont use any black Kajals on the waterline, I prefer the mascara and liner look the most. Kajal I save for the days I feel extra dressy or when my lipcolor is too light. I got this because I wanted to see how it looks in the waterline to give that awake effect. White looks a bit too stark on Indian skintones.
This Kajal goes perfectly with my skin colour. It is very pigmented and glides on easily. However, It does not stay for too long and smudges a bit too. Also if you have any black liner on the upper lash line, that black kind of smudges on this too. At first when I used it my eyes kind of felt a bit tired but I dont have that feeling anymore so maybe my eyes were a bit too sensitive back then.
It does give you that big eyes look, I just wish it stayed on for longer time. It disappears pretty fast from my eyes. So on the front the performance is a little bit low. I have had another Kajal from Rimmel in the past and that fades away pretty quick too. However, it is a really nice highlight for the brow bone. It looks very natural there and gives the eyebrow a lifted look.
Overall, if you want to try out this trend I suggest you give it a go but dont expect that it last all day because it really doesnt. That’s the main sad part about this product.
As you can see in this picture, it has pretty mcuh faded from the outside corner of the eye.
PROS:
1. Good neutral colour
2. Affordable
3. Brightens the eye
CONS:
1. Smudges
2. Fades
3. Availability
My rating – 3/5

I’ve always wanted a nude eyeliner. I like the fact that it shows up well but the smudging aspect is a turn off.

I know. Such a bummer 🙁 I love it when people use it and they instantly look so much fresher. Thanks for commenting <3

Rimmel one is at least sometimes available in India. Milani also has a good option with the shade called almond. They are dupe of each other.
