#7DayGarnierChallenge- Garnier White Complete Fairness Face Wash and Cream review+Free Samples!

Hello Everyone

How’s your weekend going? I have an interesting review and a sampling challenge for you all today. Using this cream from the past few weeks has brought back some happy memories from a few years ago. I remember when I used to head off for some extra classes in the evening I always used a Cream by Garnier from the White complete range which was for mattifying the skin. It made me look a lot more polished and kept my skin matte for very long. Back then I never used any makeup so that cream was a saviour for those days. The only problem with that was it was a bit hard to blend, I’m glad they worked on that and came out with this new renovated product. Read on to know more about my experience with it.

Price – For the cream Rs. 150 for 40 gm and the Face wash is INR145  for 100g pack.

Let’s start off with the face wash. I absolutely love the fragrance of the Garnier products. They smell very sweet and it does not linger on for too long which is pretty good. The face wash is pearlescent white in colour and lathers very nicely. I always use it after a day of having sweaty and oily skin as it removes all of the oil and cleanses my face. The face wash claims to give you instantly fair skin. Personally I dont think any product can do that. What it actually does it remove all of the oil and sweat and makes your skin look fresh and clear. It does look a lot brighter,I agree with that part. The face wash is not very suitable for dry skintones as you may feel your skin to be too stretchy afterwards. Dry skinned people can use it but you need a good moisturizing product afterwards.

Overall, I really like this face wash. I think this is a good one in this price range for the hot and humid summer months. I use it every afternoon as it makes my skin look very refreshed.

Coming to the Cream. I personally do not like the whole Whitening trend that is so common in India but on some level I do feel that unless you use a Whitening product your pigmentation and uneven skintone will not be fixed. So I always use atleast one whitening product in my skincare regime as I feel it takes good care of my pigmentation. I have a bit of uneven skintone and I dont really like it. My motive to use whitening products is to get the best of my skin colour and an even toned skin.

I have combination skin which gets pretty oily around the T Zone. My major issues are with Eczema as I always need something that moisturizes that area. I usually have two choices – either use a product that is pretty moisturizing and deal with the oil or use a mattifying one and deal with the dryness. Usually I go for the first option but sometimes if I come across any product that does both oil control and moisturization I give it a try. This cream does that. It moisturizes nicely considering the summer months and keeps the oily away for about 2 hours or so. This cream will not be good for dry skinned people and for the winter months. I am definitely going to switch to something else for the winters. For this season it is just perfect, it keeps the oil away and makes me look brighter instantly. Also the cream gets absorbed real fast so that is a big plus point.

Coming to the whitening claim. I dont think it has lightened my skintone overall but it has most definitely helped with the uneveness of the skintone. I have been noticing since the last few days that my skin is looking a lot more even. For the day time I just use this cream and some powder and I am good to go. It makes me look a lot brighter and fresh. I have to admit I did not expect much from it, but it has pretty  much lived upto it’s claims. If you expect drastically different skin in a few days then I am sure you will be disappointed. But it does help you look brighter and more radiant within a few days of usage. I would recommend this to anyone with oily-normal skin looking for something light for the day time. It comes with SPF which is a big big plus for it.
