Hey girlss
I am back with another Colourpop review. I know I am obsessed with their products, I just cant help it. Its such a shame they are not available in India. It would sell big time here! Anytime I know someone is traveling from the US, I always have a Colourpop haul prepared. They just keep on launching so many new things every now and then. The newest are their Gel liners and pencils. They look pretty prominent so far! I will move on to the review, read on to know more 🙂
Price – $8
The packaging is similar to their other Colourpop eyeshadows. A round container with a screw off cap. The print on the top is also the same as the eyeshadows. The colour looks like a Muted pink with a bit of a sheen. It takes a while to figure out the best way to apply this. I thought the colour would be a lot darker than it actually is. I was pretty confused with the colour selection they had. I just researched some reviews and went ahead and ordered this one.
The best way to apply this blush for me is a flat top dense brush. A regular blush brush just doesnt do the trick for me. The texture of this blush is between Cream and powder. Its bouncy to the touch. There is no fall out when you try to swirl your brush in it. The pigmentation is not as good as I expected would be. Maybe it is just this particular blush but it refuses to show up on my skintone. No matter how heavily I apply it, it just looks very muted. Nevertheless I have been using this everyday since the past 3 weeks and maybe I need to find other ways to make the pigmentation pop on me.
I have a medium skintone and this is very everyday pink on me. I dont think it will show up on darker skintones. The blush has a bit of a sheen to it very muted and light. It gives a nice glowing finish, I almost never use a highlighter with this. You can see the little shiny particles under sunlight. The lasting power is 5-6 hours like any standard blush.
Overall, I am not as impressed with this particular shade as I thought I would be. I wish the pigmentation was a little bit better on this. I will keeping trying other methods and update this blog post if anything else works better 🙂
PROS:
1. Affordable
2. Not tested on animals
3. No fall out
4. Gives a glowing finish
CONS:
1. Not too good pigmentation
2. Availability
My rating – 3.5/5
