Hey girls
Sorry for the long time no see, I was a bit busy with work and was traveling as well. I’m back with a face powder review for you all today. I have seen people on the Internet rave on and on about the Estee Lauder Double Wear Liquid foundation. I dont have that one to review but I am gonna be sharing my thoughts on the powder from the same range today.
Price – $42
Availability – Estee Lauder Stores (Online) and Sephora (Here)
The powder is quite expensive but considering that it is a luxury brand I guess we cant complain much. It comes in a Blue case which has the powder on top and a small compartment for the sponge on the bottom. I rarely use the sponge to apply my powder but it is great to have and use while on the go. Since the powder and sponge are separated I think the arrangement is more hygienic.
The shade I have is 2N1 Desert Beige which is a tad bit light on me. This powder comes in a lot of different colours and you are sure to find your perfect match. Inspite of being a bit too light it does not look harsh and white on my skintone. It blends in so effortlessly on the skin. I generally use this when my foundation is a bit darker than my skintone. If both my foundation and powder are light, I can tend to look a bit too light and I dont like that at all.
The powder is sooo finely milled. It does not have any shimmer particles in it and it goes on the skin very smooth. I would compare it to Mac’s Mineralize skinfinish in terms of texture but this one has a lot more coverage. You can build up the coverage easily if you dont want to wear a foundation. It does not look cakey at all. I am super impressed with the quality of it.
No matter how many drugstore powders I try, I always keep coming back to my high end ones because they just look so much more natural and skin like. I have seen that some drugstore powders tend to look a bit cakey.
Overall, I am very happy with this powder and the quality of it. If you are on the lookout for a good high end powder foundation then definitely give this one a try. I think you are sure to find a good match and will love the finish as well.
PROS:
- Does not look cakey
- Finely milled
- No shimmer

CONS:

My rating – 5/5
See you all soon <3

Harman the packaging looks so luxurious.I also have the opinion that high end powders do not make your base look cakey.I am keen on trying the Chanel face powder.Nicely reviewed Harman.

True drugstore powders do make the look cakey compared to the high end ones. All the products from Double wear range seems like a winner. Great review 🙂

Its seriously so nice and smooth. But I agree, so hard spending so much on one product!
