Hi Girls
I wanted to get this review up for you all. Seems like everywhere all of the companies are coming up with BB creams lately. I still remember when the Ponds Tinted Moisturizer was discontinued I was pretty disappointed. Off late it seems like there are BB Creams left and right 😀 I am one person who always goes out and buys any new affordable BB cream in the market. Same was the case with this Fair and Lovely cream. Read on to find more about it.
Price – 49 for 9g
Let’s start with the packaging. It comes in two sizes I guess, I preferred the small one because I did not really have many high hopes from it haha. It’s a cute little squeeze tube which is very travel friendly. The nozzle is pretty much the same as the original Fair and Lovely cream.
Now that is done with let’s come to the actual product. I have to say I am extremely disappointed. I just fail to understand why Fair and Lovely cannot improve the texture of their products. Honestly, this cream has the same texture as the original Fair and lovely cream just with a tint of colour. It’s so difficult to blend and goes on so patchy. You can see the proof of that on my wrist, if you look closely you will see product literally rubbing off. In a world where more and more companies are coming up with easy to blend, moisturizing products Fair and Lovely really needs tons of improvement.
Look closely – you can see bits of it rubbing off
The coverage is kind of average, considering you have to rub so much for it to settle in most of it comes off literally. It evens out the skin but does not cover up anything. Also it looks like there is something sitting on your face since it is so difficult to blend into the skin. The only way I see this product working is if you have a heavy cream/sunscreen (one that makes you oily) on underneath. People with normal to dry skin really need to steer clear of this. Those who have extremely oily skin may like the matte feeling it gives.
Looks patchy anywhere you have lines
My skin is combination and I find it easy to blend on the cheeks but difficult everywhere else. It gets into the tiny hairs on your face and refuses to come off. I think I have said enough about the performance of this. I am very disappointed and would not be buying this again. Wish Fair and Lovely comes out with a more blendable version of this, kind of like their winter cream.
Let’s move on to the Pros and Cons:
PROS:
1. Affordable
2. Nice Packaging
CONS:
1. Hard to blend
2. Goes on Patchy
3. Gives off a white cast
4. Rubs off in a weird way
5. Gets into any cracks/dry areas you have
6. Comes in only one colour
My rating: 1/5
Have a nice weekend 🙂
Love
