Happy weekend to all of you. Hope you’re having a good day. I thought I should review this lipstick for you lipstick lovers out there. I bought this about 2 weeks ago because I wanted to try out a Barbie Pink lip color. Who hasn’t been fascinated by Barbie’s makeup. I know I always loved it. Wish I had really long lashes like her thought hehe. I dont really remember seeing any Barbie with a toned down lipstick. It was always so fun and bright. That’s exactly the colour I wanted. Perfect for summers and in your face bright. Lakme came out with the renewed version of these Enrich Satin lipsticks a while ago. All of the colours are so bright and perky. I remember I wasnt a fan of the original Enrich satins. The staying power was such a dud. But I’m highly impressed with this one. Read on to know more about it 🙂

Coming to the packaging. I love the Plastic, see through bullet. It’s a nice change from the boring old packaging. The cap shuts tight and you can see the colour from the top. I am worried my plastic packaging will get scratches haha. It’s just so pretty! The first time I opened mine, it had weird droplets of water, I have absolutely no idea what they are. They’re not there anymore though.
The colour as I said is a Barbie Pink, in your face bright. You definitely have to be bold to pull it off. It’s a summer lipstick and would go so well with minimal makeup. I’m wearing it today with Arabic eyes and it still looks good. I dont think I have any colour like this in my stash. I definitely like wearing this when I am not wearing any other makeup to brighten up my day 🙂
The texture is very creamy and applies smooth. I would not recommend to use this if you have chapped lips as the lipstick is surely going to get caught in any flakes and highlight your bad lip days. The pigmentation is really nice, it does not cover up evenly in the first coat, you need two coats to make it look nice and even. If you go beyond that, its again going to roll around a bit and look flakey. You can use your finger to smooth it out.
The lasting power is seriously impressive unlike their old versions. I have been wearing this since 7:30 in the morning and I had tea and breakfast in between and it’s 1:30 PM right now, I still have a lot of colour on my lips. It’s not trasnfer proof certainly, its going to transfer to cups and spoons but its long wearing. I just smoothed it out with my finger as it was getting a bit flakey in the center of the lips. Once that’s done it looks nice again 🙂 So highly recommend this colour when it comes to the staying power. It leaves a very strong pink stain behind, you will need a heavy duty makeup remover to take it off. I didnt remove it nicely at night once and I still had the stain on my lips when I woke up the next morning.

Here are some swatches in different lighting. As you can see it looks a bit purple in low light and a bit neon outdoors.
Overall, I think this is such a good deal in this price range. There are so many bright colours for you all to try. I’m sure some of them you will absolutely love. I highly recommend 🙂
