Livon Moroccan Silk Serum review!

Hello people

I really apologize for going missing these past few days. I just had so much going on at work that I could not find time for my blogging. I will try to get as many posts up as I can this week. If you guys know me at all, you know what unruly, curly hair I have. They’re always going all over the place with the top strands behaving absolutely rebelliously. I always need to use a Serum to keep them a bit in control. When Livon came out with this Serum of theirs I knew I had to give it a try. I have always heard so many good things about Argan oil. So I just went to the store one day and got this thingie home. Read on to know what I feel about it.

Price – 149/-

I remember when Livon first came out in the Indian market, it took everything by storm. I was in school back then and I hated the oils that my mom used to put on my hair to calm it down. When Livon came out, she switched to it and it actually helped her detangle my hair a lot easier. To be honest, she is still a big fan of that regular version of Livon and uses it everytime she combs her hair. Me, well I dont comb my hair really (curly hair hates it) so I dont use it as much as her 😉

The one main time when I use a hair serum is when I wash my hair. I always like to put it on when my hair is wet because I think on dry hair it can sometimes cling to a portion of your hair and give it an oily appearance. Oil in hair (unless you’re washing it after) is a big no no for me. I almost wash my hair every other day because it just gets so oily!

Coming to this serum, I like the fact that it is not as thick as the original version of Livon. Hair serums spread easily if they are kind of between runny and thick in their texture. Too runny is also not very easy to use. The texture of this is just perfect. It spread very evenly and does not cling. Two pumps are sufficient for medium long hair. I always use two pumps from the scalp to the bottom concentrating on the top layer and the ends.

This serum does calm down my unruly hair to some extent. However the results dont last too long. My hair starts getting frizzy on the second day. If that is one of your problems you can just wet your hair and put this on again. I’m too lazy to bother with that haha. I sometimes use this along with my Body shop curl boosting serum (review here)to give my hair some nice curls. The combo does work. If you have curly hair, I really recommend that Body shop curl boosting serum by the way. It does not give too much of a shine. Just a healthy look to the hair.

Overall, I think this is a good product at such affordable price. No serum can completely change the texture of your hair and how it feels. Do give this one a try. 🙂
