Loreal True Match Super Blendable foundation review!

Hi Girls

Hope you had a wonderful week. I am so happy it’s Friday 🙂 Fridays are the best! I wanted to bring this review of my favourite foundation to you all. I am not a foundation person for everydays, I prefer BB creams but on special occasions, the coverage from a BB cream just does not cut it. So I always keep a foundation handy for those special days.

Foundation1

I first went ahead and bought Mac’s Studio Sculpt in NC 35. You wouldn’t believe I literally spent atleast 30 minutes in the mall with the foundation on and checked it in different lightings before buying yet it did not look good on me when I came home 😐 It was a bit Orange for my skintone and a little heavy for my skin type. It looked so greasy and oily on me after a while no matter what I did. So I came to the conclusion that it suits Dry skin type better, hence I gifted it to my mom and went on searching for another good foundation.

This Loreal foundation was just an impluse buy. I needed one for my cousin’s wedding. I tried a little bit of it on myself in the store and liked how it looked and felt so I bought it without a second thought. I had always seen Youtube Beauty guru Lauren Curtis rave about it. I am glad I bought it because it is real neat 🙂

Price – 995/- Although available for a little lesser online

The colour I have is Golden Beige which I think would be perfect for NC 35-40 skintones in MAC. The foundation comes in so many other colours so I am sure you would find a match for yourself. It comes in a glass bottle with a pump which makes it so easy to dispense it.

The texture is a bit runny but that makes it so much easy to spread on the skin. I never dare to skip moisturizer under my foundations because it makes them look patchy. This one spreads so easily over a moisturizer or hydrating primer. Without a primer or moisturizer I think it would cling to the dry areas and appear patchy. It is perfect for Combination and oily skintypes as it does not look heavy or greasy. I completely agree that the foundation is Super Blendable. I have tried it with my fingers as well as a large stippling brush. I absolutely love using it with a large stippling brush compared to a dense one like Sigma F80. I just feel that the stippling brush gives a better finish with this.

The foundation comes with SPF 17. You should never rely on a foundation for SPF because we dont use as much as needed for adequate protection from the sun. I have heard that SPF in foundations photographs horribly but I personally have never had that problem with this. I used this foundation at all of the wedding events in my cousin’s wedding including night events.

Blended

The colour matches me better compared to Revlon’s Colorstay foundation and also blends a lot better. It is a high coverage foundation. Two layers will give you complete coverage. The product is a bit pricey but I guess you need to have a good foundation and compared to MAC it is still half price at the same performance.

Overall I highly recommend you try out this foundation. It is a high coverage easily blending foundation which controls oil for atleast 4 hours. If you have oily skin, you will surely need powder and blotting papers just like with other products.

Hello harman,i want to buy a bb cream and i check reviews for some but those were not satisfactory to make a choice..can you help me out for this…

    • Hi Shefali 🙂 If you have dry skin then buy Garnier’s BB cream, it is very light and looks skin like. If your skin is more oily then try out Lakme CC cream. These two have always been my favourites 🙂

  3. I wish this was for dry skin! I’m bored with my current foundations. Does L’oreal do a dry skin version of this Harman? Is that the Lumi Magique?

  4. Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?
I’m going to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most
blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
