Hey girls
I have a new skincare review for you all. I have been trying out this Lotus Sunscreen since the last few weeks and I am ready to share my thoughts with you all. I absolutely trust Lotus when it comes to Sunscreens. I used to have their Matte sunblock back when I was in college and I loved using it. I am honestly very impressed by how good their range of sunscreens is. Read on to know more about this one š

The sunscreen has an spf of 50 and pa++ which is pretty good for Indian weather. It is so hot outside that whatever I put on my face comes off with sweat and oil if I stay without the fan or AC for a few minutes. The fragrance of this creme is very sweet and fruity kinds but it does not linger on for too long which is good.
This creme is light beige in colour and spreads easily. Since it is a creme, it is a teeny tiny bit heavier than other lotion based sunscreens. It does however absorb easily. You definitely do need to spend an extra few seconds blending compared to some other products. When it first goes on, it looks like it will be a bit too white like those Fair and Lovely creams but thankfully that does not last long and you can blend it in with your fingers easily. I sometimes have a hard time blending this around the hairline so I just use either my Real Techniques sponge (Review here) or PAC cosmetics sponge and blend it in nicely.
It definitely does not make your skin too matte or shiny. The finish is more on the glowy end and there is a little bit of coverage. It has more coverage than my other Lotus BB cream (Review here). I mostly skip foundation and just use this with a bit of concealer for an everyday look. I can totally see college students use this a lot. It does not mattify the face and my face does have a bit of shine in about 2 hours.
Coming to Tan prevention I honestly cannot comment on that because I dont reapply this every 2 or 3 hours like they say. I’m sure some tanning in the summers is inevitable. I do sometimes use this as a base with my foundation but I prefer to use my Aveeno positively radiant lotion the most (Review here) because that just acts as a primer as well.
One thing is that you cannot, I literally repeat cannot, use this with Nivea After Shave Balm as a primer (Review here). I am telling you all of the sunscreen is going to come off your face in a weird way. I tried it once and ended up redoing my face makeup all over again!
I think this is a great sunscreenĀ for summers and you should totally get it if you are looking for a sunscreen change š
