Maybelline Lip balm in Berry Sherbet review!

Hope you’re all having a nice week. I’m a big fan of all tinted lip balms so when I saw these at Lifestyle a few days ago I had to go and buy one of the new colours. I bought Berry Sherbet as I wanted a more of a pinky colour than a brown one. I only saw two colours, not sure if there is a third one too. Tinted lip balms are my best friends. Read on to know more about this one.

Lets come to the packaging first. It’s the standard baby lips packaging, nothing new there. I really wish they would launch the ones they have in US. I know they had the Electro Pop ones in that packaging but these would be cuter in that one too. It’s easy to twist the bottom and use these too though.

The colour is a very pretty Berry kind of a colour that gives your lips a stained look. It looks very natural and nice. The texture is like other lip balms, does not feel waxy or heavy, goes on smooth and gicves a nice sheen. Hydrates the lips very nicely. The lasting power is most definitely not 12 hours as they claim. It keeps your lips hydrated for maybe 5 hours but the colour fades away in about 2. I dont really mind that as you cant expect a lip balm to last you for 12 hours. If you need that, you should maybe get a lipstick.

My only problem with this is that if my lips are not smooth it goes on a bit streaky and patchy. I have to smooth it out somehow. You can see that in the lip swatch below. It rolls about any flakiness and makes it look prominent. Make sure your lips are scrubbed and smooth before using this one.
