Hey Girls
I’m back with the review of an Eyeshadow palette today. This one is again from Physicians Formula. I have to say I really like their products and the fact they are organic and allergy tested makes me try their stuff even more. Incase you missed my review of the lip gloss from this range you can see it here. This is a small easy to carry around product that I like. Read on to know more about it.
Price- $11.95
The colours I have in this one are all natural, everyday wear ones. There are no matte colours in this palette, all of them are shiny and blingy. The packaging is so pretty and girly with lace wrapped all around it. There is no mirror. It comes with a weird brush that pretty much does nothing. It’s a triangular sponge applicator, the only times I have ever used it is when I want to put eyeshadow on in the inner corners of my eyes.
The pigmentation on these shadows is pretty average. The colours feel like they are very tightly pressed in the palette. A fluffy brush almost never picks up anything and the shadows look very sheer on the eyes. In order to use it properly you need a flat synthetic brush and really need to pack the colour on if you want a good pigmentation on your eyelids. There is minimal fall out from these shadows. The ligher colours have a better pigmentation than the darker ones. They look very good on the eyes and you can pretty much use them everyday as a light wash of colour on the eyes. The shimmer is not gritty, it’s very fine and almost metallic.
The staying power is not very good on these. Even with a primer underneath they only last around 4-5 hours on the eyes after which they crease big time and almost disappear. I would never wera these for a big event or for the night when I am going to be out for longer as I dont want creases on my eyes that time.
Price wise I think this is pretty affordable but I believe you could get lots of options at this price point really. BH cosmetics and Coastal Scents make good palettes with better pigmentation at this range. I would recommend this to people looking for everyday eyeshadows and those that dont have Oily eyelids. Unfortunately my eyelids are very oily so these disappear pretty fast on my eyes.
PROS:
1. Affordable
2. Everyday colours
3. Dermatologist tested
4. Non Animal tested
CONS:
1. Average pigmentation
2. Poor staying power
My rating – 3.5/5
Have a wonderful Sunday you all 🙂
