Hey girls
I’m back with the review of the first two products that I received from VLCC. I have been using this Kajal and Lip balm non stop ever since I received it. I am so impressed with the quality of everything that I got. More to come on that.. until then read on to know what I think of these 🙂
Price- 199/- for the Kajal and 125/- for the lip balm
Let’s start off with the Kajal. You must have an idea of how much an issue I have with Kajals, mostly because after putting most of them on I feel like my eyes are so heavy and tired and that I want to go sleep. Luckily that never happened with me when using this VLCC Kajal. It also does not sting or make my eyes water at all.
The colour is very black but definitely not the blackest that I have seen. It glides on smoothly and stays put if you have powder under your eyes. I have noticed it has a tendency to smudge after a few hours if you have oily and watery eyes and have not concealed and powdered the under eye area. The kajal fades if you have watery eyes. There will be an outline of it but it fades from the inner side. I have a habit of itching my eyes so it fades a lot faster on me.
I think the Kajal is really great for the price it comes at. I would say this has a slightly more lasting power than the Maybelline Colossal Kajal. I have used this in my waterline in these two looks here and here.
Moving on to the Lip balm. I am a big big lip balm fan. I cannot leave my lips bare ever. They either need a balm or a lipstick. The VLCC lip balm is a clear yellow coloured balm. It does not have any tint in it however I have read that there is a tinted version as well. The lip balm goes on smooth and does not feel waxy or greasy. The only thing I would change about it is the fragrance. To me it smells a little bit like some hair oil. I wish it had more of a sweeter smell. Maybe the other variants do that. This one did not trigger my eczema at all and I am so happy about that.
Overall I love both of these products and I am so happy to have tried them out. I had forgotten what a great brand VLCC is. I will totally try out more of their range.
PROS:-
- Both dont exaggerate eczema
- Kajal does not make your eyes heavy
- Doesnt smudge (Kajal)
- Affordable
- Easily available
CONS:-
- The fragrance for the lip balm (May just be a personal preference)
- The kajal fades on watery eyes
My rating- 4/5
See you all soon <3

The colour is kind of sheer actually. It doesnt go on yellow 🙂 Maybelline is good but such a bummer that it tests on animals
