Hey guys
Hope you have all been well. I have an eyeshadow review for you all today. I think Wet n Wild have the most affordable eye shadow collections out there. I have three of these Trios and one Quad and the pigmentation on all of them is absolutely amazing. You can get some of their shadows online through Luxola.com. Seems like the Trios are all out of stock at the moment. If you are looking for affordable shadows with a great pigmentation then do lookout for these.
Price – $3
The trios have three eyeshadow colours that perfectly compliment each other. They have readings on them which say Eyelid, Browbone and Crease. I think it would be helpful to the people who are just starting out with makeup and need help in figuring out the perfect crease colours. You can obviously always use them interchangeably. This trio has a kind of a satin finish while the other ones I have, have more of a glittery finish. I think these three colours are perfect berry shades for fall. The pink is obviously a little too dark for using under the eyebrow hence I prefer using it either in the inner corner or the eyelid.
The shadows have an amazing pigmentation. I think these have the best pigmentation a drugstore shadow can have. They are very soft and do have some fallout. You need to be careful to slowly build up the intensity as they can go pretty dark in one go. It’s always better to gradually build the colours rather than having too much product at once. The fall out is very minimal and does not bother me much. These are so soft to touch and break very easily. There is a picture on the back of the packaging to guide you more on where each colour goes.
The staying power is like any other eyeshadow. It lasts a good time with an eye primer underneath and that makes the colour pay off a lot better too. My main problem with these is the way the shadow breaks at times, you need to be very careful not to drop it else you will have shattered shadow all over the place.
For this price point, I honestly fail to find any problems with these shadows. I dont think I have seen any other brands offer such great colour selection at this price point. I have even seen MUAs depot these shadows and keep them in a Z palette to make it more travel friendly. I would highly recommend these to everyone.
I have used these in this look here. On my lid was the Colourpop eyeshadow and in the crease the dark brown and on the outer corner the Eyelid colour.
PROS:
1. Affordable
2. Good colour selection
3. Great pigmentation
4. Little fall out
5. Complimentary shades
CONS:
1. Availability
2. Too soft so break easy
My rating – 5/5
See you all soon!
