Colorbar Creme Touch Lipstick in Claret review!

I am back with another lipstick review. As you can probably tell by now, lipsticks are my weak spot. I think you can never have too many lipsticks 😀 There is always room for more. I have about two or three colours of red but I wanted something which was a deeper red but didnt look too mature on me. I didnt want to spend too much on it as well, because let’s admit it, we cant wear a red lipstick everyday. When you want an affordable option but need a lot of colour selection then which better brand to look for than Colorbar. Read on to know more about the lipstick.

The lipstick comes in a pretty silver packaging with a purple top. It has to be one of the hardest ones to photograph 😀 Somehow the reflective packaging just made the pictures come out so dull every single time. Anyways, I tried to get lots of pictures so you can get a good idea of the colour.

The colour is a deeper red. Its a lot lighter than what you would call a Maroon but is not in your face bright. It’s actually pretty subtle and easy to pull off compared to Tomato Reds. It would be perfect for anyone looking for a glossy finish red.

The texture is very smooth and the lipstick is pretty creamy. It glides on very smooth and is so moisturizing. The pigmentation is pretty good but still you need two or three swipes to get the proper finish on the lips. It is best used with a matching lip liner as it will increase the staying power of the lipstick. The colour is pretty glossy looking and covers all the lip lines and does not get into any of the cracks on the lips.

The staying power sadly is not very good on this one. It stays for around 4 hours and transfers to anything your lips touch at any point. Also it bleeds outside the lips and look a bit weird. You need a mirror handy to make sure its not looking odd.

Overall, I am pretty impressed with the quality of this lipstick. The finish is very nice and the colour is one that every skin tone can pull off very easily. You can see how it looks on me below.
