Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip Flitter Review!

Hey Girls

I’m back with another Colourpop review wooo wooo 😀 My love for this brand is never ending, I have almost stopped buying any MAC makeup products ever since I have discovered Colourpop. I just love it so much. If you want to see my old reviews on Colourpop products then just type colourpop in the search brand and they should come up. I have reviewed another Colourpop Ultra Metallic lip in the past which was more of a plum shade (Review here). The Ultra metallic lip from Colourpop was liked by some and hated by others. I am in the like category as I have never had any problems with mine. Most people had problems with the wand not picking up enough product but I dont feel that way honestly. Read on to know more about it 🙂

Price- $6

Availability – www.colourpop.com, Instagram stores beautytales.in, lachicwick, shopyouraddiction etc

I got mine from the Instagram store www.beautytales.co.in after seeing it on one of the very beautiful girls on Instagram. I tell you, this social media and blogs have really increased the amount of spending I do on makeup because I see something on someone then just want it instantly. I can’t get that product out of my mind until I get it. A little obsessed I would say 😛

The colour Flitter from the Ultra Metallic range is one of the lighter shades they launched. It’s not the lightest one so it’s easy to work with unlike some other shades. The colour is a peach with very very minute gold shimmer. It does not feel sticky or tacky on the lips at all. On it’s own the colour washes me out quite a lot but I love layering it on other shades to give it a nicer metallic look.

The wand does not pick up too much product to begin with which is great as I can use it sparingly without going over the top. It spreads easily and does not settle into the lip lines. It does not dry out my lips either. I was one person who used to be so scared of the matte lipsticks as I thought they would look horrible on my dry lips but these days all I can use are the matte lipsticks.

The Colourpop Ultra Metallic Lip in Flitter lasts quite a long time too. On me it stayed on for 6-7 hours with fading from the inside just like all other matte lipsticks or lip stains. When I use this colour on it’s own, it looks nice when you look closely but it does not photograph too well as it will make you look too washed out. I think skintones upto NC40 can pull these off with these while the darker beauties may need a darker lip liner or layering of this on top of some other colour. It kind of reminds me of the shade Papaye from Jouer which I wanted to buy but ended up getting another colour from Jouer that is a little too light for me. I will review that one soon.

This one gives opaque pigmentation in just two swipes. It is a very pigmented lipstick. When using two layers, it looks more golden than peach. The metallic finish of this is quite strong.

Colourpop Flitter does not flake or smudge on me. It stays put nicely throughout the day. I have also used this in one of my Youtube videos which I will link down below. I think it went so well with my outfit and the whole colour theme I had going on there.

Overall, I love my Ultra Matte/Metallic/Satin lips from Colourpop. I am yet to find a shade or texture that I do not like. If you are looking for an affordable metallic lipsticks then do checkout this brand and the colour selection that they have.
